- 「巽櫓」和「坤櫓」自約 400 年前築城時便已存在，是日本僅存的 12 座三重櫓中的 2 座 Tatsumi and Hitsujisaru yaguras, two of the only 12 surviving three-story turrets in Japan, have remained since the castle was built about 400 years ago.

- 1. 巽櫓 Tatsumi Tower (Yagura)
- 建於主城東南端有 3 層之高的櫓 It’s a three-story tower which was built at the southeast end of Inner Citadel (Honmaru).
- 2. 坤櫓 Hitsujisaru Tower (Yagura)
- 對於沒有建造天守閣的明石城來說可謂是最大規模的櫓，可認為是取代了天守閣應有的功能 In the Akashi Castle where a main castle tower wasn’t built, it’s the turret with the largest scale. It’s located just south of the castle tower, and it seems to have played a role of main castle tower.
