  • 位於山陰海岸地質公園的鳥取砂丘地帶，南北橫跨 2.4 km，東西縱橫 16 km 為日本規模最大的海岸砂丘。由日本海的風與砂丘的沙所形成的美麗風紋，以及從「馬之背」小高丘上，可以一覽日本海的絕佳景色。Located in the heart of the San’in Kaigan Geopark and stretching 2.4 km north to south and 16 km east to west, it is one of the finest coastal sand dunes in the country. The ripples swept in the sand by the winds of the Sea of Japan. The small hill known as Umanose (the horse’s back) offers a picturesque panorama of the ocean.

  • 1. 風紋 Fumon (Sand Ripples Made by Wind)
  • 3 – 4 級的風(微風)吹過後的沙之藝術。在微風輕拂，氣候乾燥的清晨可以看到。Art of sand that appears after wind blows 5-6 meters per second. Fumon (sand ripples made by wind) can be observed early in the morning on a dry and windy day.
  • 2. 砂簾 Saren (Sand Curtain)
  • 砂子堆積過多，超出安定的角度後，坍塌下來的壯觀景色。A phenomenon in which sand collapses when it accumulates at an unstable angle.
  • 3. 砂柱 Sachu (Sand Protuberances)
  • 強風暴雨後出現的奇觀景象。周圍的輕沙被風吹走後，剩下來的是參雜著小石頭的砂子。A phenomenon of a dune that happens by strong wind or heavy rain fall, where the sand attached to small stones remains and the light sand surrounding the stones is blown off.
  • 4. 夕陽 Sunset
  • 坐在砂丘山脊上，眺望著變化不斷的夕陽的光芒，會讓人忘記日常的瑣事。Please watch the brilliant sunset, sitting on Umanose, the largest dune. The setting sun changes every moment and has you forget your daily life problems.
  • 5. 漁火 Fishermen’s Fire
  • 夕陽西下後的海面上，閃耀著夢幻般的燈光，猶如一大群的螢火蟲在日本海上飛舞。On the horizon at dusk, a fishermen’s fire appears from each squid-fishing vessel. The fire makes us imagine a horde of fireflies over Sea of Japan.
