- 首次演出的劇場是改建自室內游泳池，起初只是作為餘興演出。首次公演是 1914 年 4 月 1 日在改建自室內游池的劇場舉辦。水池被改造成觀眾席，更衣室則轉變為舞台。17 位 12歲 – 17 歲的少女站上了值得紀念的首次舞台 Over the course of a century, the Takarazuka Revue has amused and moved audiences. The first performance was on April 1, 1914 in a theater built in the converted indoor pool. A lid over the pool served as audience seating, while the changing rooms were the stage. The performers in this memorable first production were 17 young girls ranging in age from 12 to 17.
- 宝塚歌舞劇是僅由未婚女性組成的世界鮮有的劇團。當然不只女性角色，男性角色也由女性演出。飾演男性的演員稱為「男役」，飾演女性的演員稱為「娘役」，男役平時就剪短髮，娘役則留長髮，在外觀上也有簡單明瞭的區隔 One of the reasons why the Takarazuka Revue fascinates fans is the world portrayed by its all-female casts. The super-cool otoko yaku complement the prim and sweet musume yaku. The otoko yaku, with a presence that makes them seem “cooler” than real men, is unique to the Takarazuka Revue. Note the subtle details in their expressions, gestures and costumes. You will see the aesthetics of the otoko yaku and the meticulousness of the musume yaku.

- 宝塚歌舞劇目前有花、月、雪、星、宙 5 組加上專科。所有公演皆是各組分別進行，不僅戲劇和歌舞秀的演出內容相異，也可感受到各組不同的魅力 The Takarazuka Revue’s members presently comprise five troupes – Flower, Moon, Snow, Star and Cosmos – and the Senka, or “Superior Members.” Each performance is conducted by one of these groups.
- 各組皆有一對主演組合，一位是稱為首席明星的男役，一位是搭配首席明星的首席娘役。大多數公演內容皆以這對首席組合為中心發展，再融入各組成員的特色，以營造出獨特的魅力 Each troupe has a leading pair of actors: the “top star” as the best otoko yaku and the “top musume yaku” playing alongside the top star. The plots of many performances develop around this top pair, who in combination with the enticing traits of the troupe’s other members create a uniquely captivating theatrical production.
