- a. Noda City Museum
The exterior of the museum is inspired by the log-cabin style architecture of the Shōsōin Treasure House. It is a horizontally elongated, symmetrical, and well-proportioned building, accented by three small triangular roofs protruding from the copper-plated roof and evenly spaced window grilles. The interior features a mezzanine level with a high ceiling, and the gently curved stair treads and the rounded handrails soften the overall impression.
- b. Main House
The main building is a single-story wooden structure with a tiled hipped roof. It consists of a grand entrance hall with a porte-cochère topped with a hipped roof, a reception area centered around a large hall, and living quarters in the back. Surrounded by a garden, this charming residence is an extremely valuable example of modern Japanese-style architecture from the Taisho period.
It was built in the early Meiji period and dismantled in the Showa period. However, it was moved to its current location. This is an authentic tea room, a single-story wooden building with a shingle roof, equipped with a waiting area and a water basin. The interior is arranged in a traditional style with a daime-doko (alcove), and features a noble entrance and a crawl-through entrance.

Garden
This garden, like the main house, is believed to have been constructed around 1924. It features a wide and dignified “front garden” leading from the main gate to the porte-cochère, a “stream garden” that uses spring water and is designed to be viewed from multiple rooms in accordance with the shape of the main house, and a “large pond” that was created facing the study that was formerly located in the “lawn garden” in the center of the garden. These elements demonstrate the design and composition befitting a large-scale modern residence.
