Skilled artisans left other remarkable works throughout Numazu, long known for its scenic beauty.

- 数寄屋造り的特徴是大量使用吹製玻璃，尤其是在門窗上，雖然傳統的數寄屋建築以木、草和土為主要材料，但這座建物卻大量運用了玻璃這種礦物材料，使得低矮的天花板和門楣營造出與室外庭院融為一體的開闊感，玻璃也巧妙地融入了周圍的自然環境 One distinctive element of the building is the lavish use of blown glass in the windows and glass doors. Sukiya-style architecture was originally built from wood, reeds, and earth, but here the materiality of glass blends in naturally and effectively. Even with the low ceilings and doorways, the lavish use of various forms of glass creates an airy space that seems to extend to the garden outside.
