- 北棟建於 1726 年，南棟建於 1771 年，據推定江戶時代提供参拝者の宿泊，以及遠方參拜建築的場所。明治時代後，被用作山間小屋 (室堂山莊)，但在 1992 年至 1994 年間進行解体修理 North Building was constructed in 1726 and the South Building in 1771. It is presumed that during the Edo period, it was used as lodging for pilgrims to Tateyama and for worshipping the buildings from afar. After the Meiji era, it was used as a mountain hut (Murodo Sanso), but underwent dismantling and repair between 1992 and 1994.
