御師 (おし) Oshi
- 連結信眾與神之間重要橋樑的特殊神職人員，代為祈禱並傳播富士山信仰，對前往富士山朝聖的信眾給予信仰指導、指引登山路線及提供自家借宿 Religious practitioners who fulfilled their duties of intervention between people and God (Kami) and who helped pilgrims find lodging, climb Mt. Fuji and offer prayers on behalf of the believers and spreading the Mount Fuji faith. 江戸時代の最盛期上吉田地区曾有86座御師，為富士山信仰提供支持 At its peak during the Edo period, 86 Oshi houses were located in the Kamiyoshida area, supporting the Mount Fuji faith.
御師住宅 Oshi House
- 御師經營供朝聖信眾留宿的宿坊稱為「御師住宅」(朝聖者客棧) The house where the pilgrims stayed were therefore called “Oshi no te” (The pilgrim’s inn).
- 主屋為御師住宅の形式，廚房 (台所) 位於居室和接待區前面的北側，神社 (殿) 位於背面南側，儲藏室位於主屋廚房前方，建築年代與主屋同時期，本住宅及其庭院都保留了吉田御師の住宅的原始風貌 The main house is in the style of a Oshi house, with a kitchen attached to the north side of the front of the living room and reception area, and a shrine attached to the south side of the rear. The storehouse stands in front of the main house’s kitchen and is thought to have been built around the same time as the main house. This residence, including the grounds, retains the original form of a Yoshida Oshi house.
