雪洞祭 Bonbori Festival

湯湧溫泉由於 2011 年 4 月電視節目播放的動漫「花開伊呂波」（別名「花開物語」）中，作為背景原型的「湯乃鷺溫泉」而出名，本活動實際再現「花開伊呂波」中虛構的祭神儀式「雪洞祭」Yuwaku Onsen became a famous destination for fans of “Hanasaku Iroha,” which aired in April 2011. The show used Yuwaku Onsen as the model for its fictional onsen town, “Yunosagi Onsen,” which is regarded as a holy place for fans who still travel to see it. Every year, from 2011, the town reproduces the events depicted in the show’s Bonbori Festival.

湯涌氷室 Himuro-biraki (Opening the Icehouse, Himuro)

冰室，是用來將天然雪冰儲藏存放至夏天的特殊小屋。江戶時代時，加賀藩 (石川) 的前田大領主將冬季白山靈峰的雪儲藏進冰室中，到了夏天將此雪冰切塊取出後獻給江戶 (東京) 的德川將軍。開冰室的傳統活動正是源自這段歷史。當地居民們將每年 1 月份的最後一個週日所儲藏的雪冰，於 6 月 30 日開冰室時取出 A himuro is a special shed used to store natural snow and ice until summer. In the Edo period, the Maeda family of the Kaga clan (Ishikawa) put snow of the holy mountain Hakusan in the himuro during winter. They then cut out the snow-ice in the summer and presented it to the Tokugawa Shogunate in Edo (Tokyo). On the last Sunday of January, snow is placed inside and sealed until summer. The himuro is then opened on June 30th.
