- 專供武士和公家宿泊・休憩的場所，常常是指定當地有力旧家の邸宅 Rest areas and lodgings built for use by samurai and court nobles. Large residences in the post towns were often designated as lodging for government officials.
- 落合宿本陣是岐阜縣境內中山道沿線 17 宿中唯一保留原貌的本陣，可以感受到歷史的痕跡Ochiaijuku Honjin is the only honjin remaining among the 17 Gifu post towns along the Nakasendo, and you can feel the vestiges of history there.
