規模雖小，僅有 1 家 (本陣) 主旅館、1 家脇本陣和 5 家客棧 (旅籠)，但封建領主的隊伍會在此停留，因此也被稱為「公主旅館 (姫の宿)」，因為這裡主要接待公主和其他女性 It is small in scale, with only one Honjin (main inn), one waki-honjin, and 5 hatago (inns), but feudal lord processions would stay at Oiwake-juku, and it was called “post town of Princesses” because it was a quiet post town and mainly used by princesses and other women.

宿場 Shukuba

江戸時代為了傳遞事務所需於五街道及脇往還上設立的町場，相當於古代的驛站 Shukuba were staging post stations during the Edo period in Japan, generally located on one of the Edo Five Routes or one of its sub-routes. Travelers could rest on their journey around the nation.
本陣 Honjin: 專供武士和公家宿泊・休憩的場所，常常是指定當地有力旧家の邸宅 Rest areas and lodgings built for use by samurai and court nobles. Large residences in the post towns were often designated as lodging for government officials.
脇本陣 Waki-honjin: 比本陣次一級武士和公家の宿泊施設，不過有空間時也會提供給一般旅客使用 These facilities were also for use by samurai and court nobles, but general travelers could also stay here if there were vacancies.
旅籠 Hatago: 一般旅客用的含食事的宿泊場所 Facilities that offered accommodations to general travelers and also served food
問屋場 Ton’yaba: 備有政府的驛馬和信差，以便接替與換乘 General offices that helped manage the post town
高札場 Kōsatsu: 張貼公告列出幕府禁制和通達事項的場所 Signboards on which the shōgun’s proclamations were posted

本陣 Honjin (安川家住宅 Yasukawa Family Residence)

建於 1756 年，近年來經過大改修，但仍保留了約 40% 的当時原貌，尤其是樓上的房間 Built in 1756, it has undergone extensive renovations in recent years, but around 40% of the original building remains, particularly the upper room.

問屋 Wholesaler (Tonya) – 非公開 Not open to the public

a. 上の問屋 Upper Wholesaler (安川家 Yasukawa Family)
江戸後期の建物，其染色牆面和格子窗都非常精美，行李寄存處、會計室、客房、馬匹以及泥土地面都保存完好 It is a building from the late Edo period. Its dyed-dyed construction and latticework are beautiful. The luggage storage area, accounting office, guest rooms, horses, and dirt floor are all well preserved.

b. 下の問屋 Lower Wholesaler (尾台家 Otai Family)
建築歷史追溯到 1772 年大火之後，是一座豪壮的建築，擁有人字形屋頂 The building dates back to after the great fire of 1772, and is a magnificent structure with a gabled roof.

旅籠 Inn

a. 大黒屋 Daikokuya
保留江戸中期の建築様式，入口處有一扇大門 The building retains the architectural style of the mid-Edo period and has a large door at the entrance.
b. 和泉屋 Izumiya
建於文化・文政年間，雖然在明治期被改建為養蠶場，但仍保留了旅館的原貌 Built during the Bunka and Bunsei eras, it was remodeled for sericulture during the Meiji period and still retains its original form as an inn.

裏前田原通り Ura-Maedawara Street (夜盗道 Night Thief Road)

這條後街至今仍保留著前田原の名主屋敷，是江戸時代は生活道路的一條旧中山道の古道 This back road, where the residence of the headman of Maedawara remains, is an old Nakasendo road that was used as a residential route during the Edo period.

小田井宿節 (祭り) Otai-juku Festival

遊行隊伍按照傳統方式行進，隊伍中會展示公主在旅途中獲贈的人偶，人偶被放置在籃子裡，身著當時的服飾，並伴有鼓樂和笛聲 The procession, which is held in a traditional style, features a doll presented to her on the trip, placed in a basket and dressed in costumes reminiscent of the time, accompanied by the sounds of drums and flutes.
傍晚時分，家家戶戶齊燃營火，標誌著節慶的結束 In the evening, the festival comes to a close when each household lights a bonfire in unison, signaling the festival’s conclusion.
