這棟宅邸屋号為「田丸屋」，同時也是一家旅籠 (客棧)，供身分地位較高的人在參勤交代等宿泊 The house was called “Tamaruya,” and it was also an inn where people of relatively high status could stay on major journeys such as those on sankin-kotai (alternate attendance) journeys.
