- 江戶時代初期建造的武家書院,是日本第 2 座被指定為重要文化財的住宅 This shoin is a samurai residence built in the early Edo period, and is the second residence in Japan to be designated an Important Cultural Property.
- 全國大部分被指定為重要文化財の書院都歸寺院所有,一般不對外開放,這座重要文化財書院是少數可以進入參觀的 Most Shoin buildings designated as Important Cultural Properties across the country are owned by temples and are not open to the public. This is one of the few Important Cultural Properties that you can enter inside.
- 現存的江戸時代初期武家住宅僅有二条城和旧小笠原家書院 The only samurai residences from the early Edo period are Nijo Castle and the former Ogasawara Shoin.
