- 整座山荘の設計都由高谷宗範親自操刀，他充分考慮了土地高低，製作了 1:100 的模型，搭建了房屋，挖掘了池泉，種植了樹木，並在花園中佈置了石塊。山荘的基本設計以方圓為理念，「心智要圓潤，行為要正直」，這一理念貫穿始終 The entire design of the villa was undertaken by Takatani Sohan himself, who took into consideration the elevation of the land, created a 1:100 scale model, erected buildings, dug a pond, planted trees, and arranged stones in the garden. The foundation is based on the idea of square and round. “The mind must be round, and actions must be righteous,” and this idea is evident everywhere.
- 建造這座茶室的目的是為了在広間 (書院式) 茶室中推廣茶道，讓大眾都能欣賞到茶道，不僅僅是在小間 (草庵式) 中。書院設有書院式庭園，小間則設有草庵式庭園，這兩個庭園分別作為主景及借景 It was built with the intention of popularizing tea ceremony in a large hall (Shoin style) that can be enjoyed by the general public, rather than just in a small room (thatched hut style).The Shoin has a Shoin-style garden, and the small room has a thatched hut style garden, and the gardens are designed to serve as the main scenery and borrowed scenery, respectively.
