- 這棟房屋為縦割型山牆の茅葺屋頂，柱以栗材和樑以松材製成，完全沒有使用任何釘子。天井以竹蓆鋪築，並在「屋簷」和「正面」兩側鋪上約 5 公分厚的泥土，以防寒防暑 The house is a vertically split, gabled, thatched building. The pillars are made of chestnut wood and the beams of pine, with no nails whatsoever. The ceiling is made of bamboo latticework, and on the “engae” and “omote” sides, about 5 cm of soil is laid on top to help protect against the cold and heat.
