国指定重要文化財 Nationally Designated Important Cultural Property
- 日本最早的多拱混凝土壩，長 145.5 m，高 30.4 m，両端部重力式，中央為五拱六扶壁的連拱式，展現昭和前期堰堤建設的技術成就 It is Japan’s earliest multiple arch concrete dam with a length of 145.5 m and height of 30.4 m. Both ends are gravity-type, and the center is a multi-arch type consisting of five arches and six buttresses demonstrating the technological achievements of dam construction in the early Showa period.
- 夏季時，不定期進行放水作業，吸引許多的觀光客聚集圍觀 Many people gather to watch the periodic opening of the dam gates, called ‘marunuki’, as the water dramatically cascades down.
