建築規模宏大，且在建築の意匠・構造・素材等方面都具有很高的學術價值，是本県現存近代和風建築代表的建造物，同時也保留了明治宮殿建築的特徵 It is a large, high-quality structure of great academic value in terms of its architectural design, structure, and materials, and is extremely important as a representative example of modern Japanese architecture remaining in the prefecture. It also displays the characteristics of palace architecture from the Meiji period.
