- 每年 10 月的第三個週日以及前一天 2 天所舉辦的「川越祭」Held for two days on the 3rd Saturday and Sunday of October, the Kawagoe Festival is Koedo-Kawagoe’s liveliest event of the year.

- 川越祭的最大特點是，重現江戶「天下祭」的彩車遊行活動。精巧的偶人乘坐絢麗豪華的彩車，以象徵小江戶川越的伝統建築 (蔵造) 設計街道為中心,繞行市區 The Kawagoe Festival’s strongest feature is the festival float event which reproduces the ’Edo Tenka Matsuri’ festival. Spectacular festival floats carrying exquisitely crafted dolls are pulled around the center of Koedo-Kawagoe’s landmark Kurazukuri (traditional architecture) Zone.
- b. 最值得一看的「舞蹈陣頭」The Main Event – Hikkawase
- 相遇的多輛彩車，會以伴奏 (笛子、鼓、鉦、跳舞) 來競賽，參加祭典的人高舉並搖著燈籠和喊出歡呼聲。特別是夜晚的「舞蹈陣頭」，讓熱鬧達到最高潮 As they face each other, the several festival floats compete with each other in a hayashi performance (a traditional Japanese orchestra comprised of flutes, drums, handbells and dancing), cheered on by the excited voices of festival-goers holding aloft paper lanterns. The excitement reaches its climax with the evening ‘Hikkawase’.

- 在川越祭登場的彩車多數是，由江戶和川越的工匠所做的華麗江戶系川越型彩車。彩車的構造是兩層鉾和偶人的江戶型彩車。四個車軸車或三個車軸車，與台座的上面，搭上兩層的鉾，上層突出的部份和偶人，各使用推出式的昇降構造。原本這是為了通過城門所做的伸縮裝置 The floats are characterized by having 2 stories floats and a structure featuring a retracting trapdoor platform. The Kawagoe Festival is host to a large number of Edo-kei Kawagoe-gata festival floats built by Edo and Kawagoe craftsmen. The structure of the festival floats has developed in the Edo style consisting in having 2 stories floats and a doll. 2 stories floats (Andon) are constructed on a 4 or 3-wheeled base, and the doll and protruding part of the upper storey are each constructed on a trapdoor-style elevator. Originally, this was a device to allow these parts to retract when passing through castle gates.
