- 2. 方丈 Hojo (Abbot’s Quarters)
- 方丈由大方丈與小方丈(書院)組成，大方丈是天龍寺規模最大的建築，周圍以迴廊包圍，可透過迴廊欣賞「曹源池庭園」The Hojo is made up of two sections, the Daihojo (Large Hojo) and the separate Kohojo (Small Hojo), both of which are connected to the Kuri.
- 大方丈の本尊は釈迦如来坐像【重要文化財】The Buddha image enshrined on the altar is that of Shakyamuni Buddha, and is registered as an Important Cultural Property.
- 3. 多宝殿 Tahoden (Hall of Many Treasures)
- 反映了後醍醐天皇吉野行宮時代紫宸殿的風格 It follows what is believed to be the design of the Shishinden (Hall for State Ceremonies) at Emperor Go-Daigo’s Southern Court in the mountains of Yoshino.

- 曹源池為國寶夢窗疏石大師所設計建造的庭園，是日本最早指定的歷史遺跡特別名勝，是名園中的名園 Laid out by Zen master Muso Soseki and still retaining its original appearance, the Sogenchi Garden was the first place in the country to win designation by the Japanese Government as a Site of Special Historic and Scenic Importance (Shiseki, Tokubetsu Meisho).
- 5. 百花苑 Hyakka’en (Garden of a Hundred Flowers)
- 百花苑是 1983 年開設北門同時完善的庭園 To the north of the Tahoden on the path to the North Gate is the Hyakka’en, a garden of flowering trees, bushes, and herbs laid out simultaneously with the construction of the North Gate in 1983.
- 嵯峨野の観光名所 Sagano’s Tourist Attractions – 竹林の小径 Bamboo Forest Road: 電影”藝妓回憶錄”裡的經典場景之一 One of the classic scenes in the movie “Memoirs of a Geisha”.
- 6. 庫院 Kuri (Temple Living Quarters)
- 庫院為七堂伽藍之一，具備廚房兼寺務處的殿宇，與方丈室和客堂相連，人字形的屋簷下，牆面呈現出巨大的三角形狀，白牆縱橫分割有致，形成了象徵天龍寺的景觀。The Kuri is one of the major buildings traditionally counted among the “seven halls” (shichido garan) that constitute the ideal Zen monastic compound.
- 7. 龍門亭 Ryumontei (Dragon Gate Pavillion)
- 夢窗國師選定的天龍寺內十處名勝 (普明閣、絕唱溪、靈庇廟、曹源池、拈華嶺、渡月橋、三級岩、萬松洞、龍門亭、龜頂塔) The Ryumontei is the home of Shigetsu, Tenryu-ji’s Zen vegetarian restaurant.
- 8. 友雲庵 Yu’un-an (Floating Cloud Hermitage)
- 在龍門亭東側有精耕館，即「天龍寺國際宗教哲學研究所」Yu’un-an is the complex of buildings just east of the Ryumontei. This served as Tenryu-ji’s training monastery.
- 9. 祥雲閣・甘雨亭 The Shoun-kaku (Auspicious Cloud Pavilion) and Kan’u-tei (Sweet Rain Bower)
- 祥雲閣在通往多寶殿的走廊右手，是仿閑寂茶集大成者千利休的繼承者表千家“殘月亭”建造的大茶室 The Shoun-kaku and Kan’u-tei are teahouses located to the right of the path leading from the Kohojo to the Tahoden.
- 10. 僧堂 Sodo (Training Monastery)
- 天龍寺的專門道場 The Sodo (which is closed to the public) is the training hall offering a communal life of work, meditation, and mendicancy for those preparing to become Zen priests or Zen masters.
- 11. 精耕館 Seiko-kan (Hirata Seiko Institute)
- 這裡收藏著以宗教哲學為主的古文獻 The Seiko-kan is the home of the Tenryu-ji Historiographical Institute (formerly named the Tenryu-ji Institute for Philosophy and Religion).
