「重要伝統的建造物群保存地区」 Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings
- 該地区主要由從江戶時代至明治時代作為商人町繁榮的「下二之町地区」與保留著越中街道的「大新町地区」。The district consists of the Shimoninomachi district, which retains the prosperous merchant town mainly from the Edo period to the Meiji period, and the Daishinmachi district, which retains the remnants of the Etchu Kaido.

- 這棟町家建築建於 1907 年，裸露地面的橫樑採用高い技術打造，突顯木材的天然紋理之美；以大黒柱為中心的樑柱排列整齊有序，引人注目。高窓透入的光線巧妙地映襯出屋内立柱和鏡戸的木紋 This townhouse was built in 1907. The beams in the earthen floor void have been crafted with advanced techniques to highlight the beauty of the wood, and the neat and tidy composition of the beams and posts, centered around the main pillar, is eye-catching. The light coming in from the high windows is cleverly incorporated, highlighting the wood grain of the interior pillars and mirrored doors.
- 以伝統為基礎，全体呈現出一種簡素之美。日下部家是男性陽剛之氣的建物，而吉島家則被認為具有女性的柔美，其設計精巧細緻，處處體現著匠心獨運，被認為是高山町家建築的傑出代表 It is based on tradition and has a simple beauty throughout. While the Kusakabe family residence is a masculine building, the Yoshijima family residence is said to have a feminine beauty and a delicate design that has been carefully thought out down to the last detail. It is considered a particularly outstanding example of townhouse architecture in Takayama.

B. 日下部民芸館 Kusakabe Folk Museum (日下部家住宅 Kusakabe Family Residence)

- 1879 年完成現在の建物，木の国飛騨の人原本就擅長建築技術，被譽為「飛騨の匠」，至今建造為數眾多的優秀建築物，該宅邸由当時的名工川尻治助，他將其所能傾注於該宅邸，建造江戶時代建築樣式的忠実再現 The current residence was completed in 1879. People of Hida, the wood country, originally have excellent architectural skills, and are called “Hida artisans.” The Hida artisans have produced a number of splendid buildings to date. The master builder of this residence was then-famous workman Jisuke Kawashiri. He devoted his skills to this building, completing a magnificent residence preserving the exact architectural style of the Edo period.
- 主家是人字形屋頂的高低 2F 建物，部分樓梯井為柏木建造，樑和短柱的木構件堅固、屋頂的斜度平緩，屋簷長此外，住宅正面表構的出格子、入格子、窗扇的變化、在紫紅漆中混合煤煙來塗抹成焦茶色的木質部分的最後加工效果等，都保留著江戶時代高山町家建築的特色 The two-story main building is made entirely of Japanese Cypress, with gable walls, stepped roofs, and partially double height hall. Beams and post columns are structured robustly, the roofs are modestly sloped, and the eaves are wide. In addition, the latticed bay window in the facade, embedded lattice, variable window cut, the wooden parts finished with dark brown paint (red iron oxide mixed with soot); all of these are the features characteristic to the townhouse structure, or machiya structure, of Takayama remaining from the Edo period.
