「重要伝統的建造物群保存地区」 Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings
- 從函館山山麓延伸至港口，旧税関(現海上自衛隊函館基地)敷地港口附近元町公園，寬 36 m、長 270 mの坂道到旧函館区公会堂和基督教正教会，沿著大三坂到港際の煉瓦倉庫群の一角，全長約 1.5 km U字形道路町並。The district extends from the foot of Mt. Hakodate to the port. From Motozaka, a 36-m wide, 270-m long slope near the port and the old customs house (now the Maritime Self-Defense Force Hakodate Base) to Motomachi Park, the former Hakodate Ward Public Hall, and the Orthodox Church of Christ. It is a townscape along a U-shaped road with a total length of about 1.5 km that goes down Daisanzaka and reaches a corner of the brick warehouses by the port.
- 明治、大正、昭和初期建造的和風、洋風、和洋折衷様式建築物，形成的街道景觀。Many Japanese-style, Western-style, and Japanese-Western style buildings built in the Meiji, Taisho, and early Showa eras forms the townscape.
