日本規模最大的出水麓武家屋敷群 One of the Largest in Japan – Izumi Fumoto Samurai Residences
薩摩藩以鹿兒島的鶴丸城為主城，並在藩內建造了100多個據點，稱為「外城」，外城中有許多武士住宅，作為郷士(半農半士)的住所兼陣地，就稱為「麓」。出水外城位於與肥後國的交接的邊境，防守地位非常重要，在此建造了150座武士住宅，從藩内挑選優秀的武士居住和保衛國家。With Tsurumaru Castle in Kagoshima as its main castle, the Satsuma domain built more than 100 outer towns in various places. In the outer town there were many samurai residences that served as residences and encampments for goshi (half-farmers), and was called「Fumoto」.
