中世紀的城鎮佈局至今依然活絡，200 m 長的街道兩旁，採用妻入式 (山牆上開門) 設計、建有歇山式瓦葺屋頂的江戶時代商戶建築鱗次櫛比。藩政時代作為岩國藩的儲藏地而繁榮一時 The layout of the town in the Middle Ages is still alive today, with rows of Japanese traditional style merchant houses with tile roofs from the Edo period continuing on both sides of the 200-meter street. During the feudal era, it was called the storage room of the Iwakuni domain, and it was a bustling street with large carts full of produce coming and going.

建於 18 世紀後半葉，作為江戶時代中期富商住宅的典型代表，保留了過去的細部，藉由參觀內部，可以窺見當時商人的生活方式 Built in the latter half of the 18th century, the typical example of a house built by a wealthy merchant in the middle of the Edo period. The details have been preserved as they were in the past, and it is possible to tour the interior. You can catch a glimpse of the lifestyle of merchants at that time.

やない西蔵 Yanai-nishigura

建於大正末期的單層木造白牆倉庫，2001 年改為体験工房及複合型観光施設，可以体験製作金魚燈籠和柳井縞機織 Yanai Nishigura is a one-story wooden white-walled storehouse built at the end of the Taisho period. In 2001, it was reborn as a complex tourist facility as a gallery and workshop. You can experience making goldfish lanterns and Yanaijima weaving.
