作為城下町的港口城市繁榮的商家町 A merchant town that prospers as a port city of a castle town.
江戸時代是北前船的停靠港，海運業和水產業的從業者以及出售清酒、醬油和味增等日用品的商店雲集，以南北走向的本町筋為中心，共有 138 棟町屋、倉庫等傳統建築物 During the Edo period, it was a port of call for Kitamae ships. Practitioners of the shipping industry and fishery industry, as well as shops selling daily necessities such as sake, soy sauce, and miso, gathered here. With the north-south Honmachisuji as the center, there are a total of 138 traditional buildings such as machiya houses and warehouses.

旧萩藩御船倉 Former Domain Boat House

日本唯一有屋頂的御船倉庫 This is the only Mifune warehouse with a roof in Japan.
據說造船廠建於 1608 年，在萩城建成後不久，進深 27 m，正面 8.8 m，兩牆和後牆均由安山岩砌成。它是日本唯一的茅草屋頂古建築遺跡 The shipyard is said to have been built in 1608, shortly after the construction of Hagi Castle. With a depth of 27 meters and a frontage of 8.8 meters, both walls and the back wall are made of andesite. It is the only remnant of an ancient structure with a thatched roof in Japan
