- 距今 15,000 年前，由於男體山火山爆發流出的熔岩堵住河流，因此形成中禪寺湖，其湖水從 97 m 高的峭壁傾瀉而下，山麓的建置電梯，可搭乘電梯 1 分鐘至下方 100 m 的觀瀑台，能就近在瀑布底部，看到水聲隆隆水花四濺。1 – 2 月，名為十二瀑布的小瀑布凍結，呈現淺藍色的冰瀑之美，5 月四周綠意盎然，6 月則能見到燕子在瀑布周邊飛舞，紅葉季節是 1 年之中最美的季節，不同季節可體驗四季變幻的美景 15,000 years ago, the lava which flowed out by the eruption of Mt. Nantai dammed up the river and Chuzenji lake was made. And then, the water of Chuzenji Lake fell from the huge rock face and the Kegon waterfall was born. Kegon-no-taki Falls, one of three Japan’s famous waterfalls along with Nachi-no-taki and Fukuroda-no-taki, is Japan’s longest continuous drop at 97 m straight down to the basin. The facility has been equipped with elevators since 1930 to see the waterfalls from the best position. It arrives in 1 minute down to 100 m in a bedrock elevator. Autumnal leaves became best time to see and around the waterfall also became the most beautiful season.
華厳滝電梯 Elevator to Kegon Falls
- 電梯及觀瀑台建於 1930 年，電梯降至岩盤上，把所有人帶到瀑布的正前方，站在観瀑台上對華嚴瀑布的宏偉壯麗發出的讚嘆聲 The elevator, bored through the cliff, takes tourists to the observation deck, affording a stunning view of the magnificent falls. This elevator was built in 1930.
