- 姬路城修築於慶長年間 (西元 1596~1615)，據說是在日本特有的城郭建築技術達到最巔峰時期完成度最高的城堡 Himeji Castle was constructed at around the beginning of the 17th century and is described as the castle that was completed the most during the period when Japan’s unique castle architecture technology was at its peak.
- 國寶姬路城至今已歷經 400 多年，1993 年 12 月與奈良的法隆寺是日本最早登錄的世界文化遺產 Over 400 years ago, from Japanese treasure to world treasure Himeji Castle, a national treasure, became the first world cultural heritage site in Japan together with Horyuji Temple in Nara in December 1993.
- 與熊本城、松本城合稱為日本三大名城 Japan’s three most famous castles, along with Kumamoto Castle and Matsumoto Castle.
- 由於其白色的外牆，像白鷺擴大羽毛一樣優美的身姿，也被稱為白鷺城 Himeji Castle is nicknamed “Shirasagi Castle (White Heron Castle)” because of the elegant appearance of the egret spreading its wings. It features a vibrant white castle wall with white plaster.
