- 明治時代是日本對外開放國門,吸收西洋文化與技術,奠定近代日本基礎的時代 Meiji was a period in which Japan opened her doors to the outside world and laid the foundation for Modern Japan by absorbing and assimilating Western culture and technology. 明治村位於愛知縣犬山市以「明治時期」特色的戶外博物館,至今已重建並對外開放 67 棟明治時期的珍貴建築物 Meiji Mura is an open-air museum in Inuyama, Aichi that lets visitors experiences what it was like to live during the Meiji Period. There are 67 Meiji-era buildings that were deconstructed, moved to Inuyama, and then rebuilt on-site.
- 在建築方面,不但繼承了江戶時代以來的優秀木造建築傳統,並且凝聚了建築師們的技術,運用西方建築素材打造出的西洋石造或是磚瓦建築樣式的建築物 It is a very important era in the history of Japanese culture. Architecture was no exception. In addition to following the accumulation of excellent traditional wooden architecture from the Yedo period, builders adopted styles, techniques and materials of Western style stone and brick architecture. With the progress of industrial revolution, these adoptions paved the way to modern architecture of steel, concrete and glass.

国指定重要文化財 Nationally Designated Important Cultural Property
A. 呉服座 Kureha-za Theater
- 明治時的歌舞伎、落語和政治演說的舞台 It was also used as a stage for Kabuki, Rakugo and political speeches during the Meiji period.
- 一棟 2 層樓木造建築,屋頂覆蓋著杉皮葺,保留了江戶時代伝統建築的遺風 The structure is a two-story wooden building with a cedar bark roof, retaining the remnants of traditional architecture dating back to the Edo period.
B. 旧伊勢郵便局舎 Former Ise Post Office Building (宇治山田郵便局舎 Uji-yamada Post Office)
- 現存最大の木造郵便局舎 The largest existing wooden post office building
- 1 棟木造平屋,外覆銅板葺,中央為圓錐形穹頂,両翼為四坡屋頂,正面左右兩側各有一座角塔,頂部設有小型圓頂。外部装飾採用北欧常見的半木結構風格,牆面由灰泥和木板混合構成,橫樑上的灰泥浮雕也別具特色 It is a single-story wooden building covered in copper sheets, with a conical dome-shaped roof at the center and hipped roofs on both wings. On the left and right of the front are square towers with small domes on top. The exterior decoration is in the half-timbered style seen in Northern Europe, with a mix of plaster and clapboard walls. The plaster reliefs on the transoms are also distinctive.
C. 菅島燈台附属官舎 Official Abode of Sugashima Lighthouse Keeper
- 燈塔管理員居住的磚造洋式職員官舎 A Western-style brick house where the lighthouse keeper lived
- 牆壁由英式磚砌成,前面有一個陽台。磚牆上建有一座木造の洋小屋,屋頂鋪著木瓦。正對陽台的入口處裝有百葉窗的雙開玻璃門,窗戶則是帶有百葉窗的滑動窗,展現出植民地建築の様式特徴 The walls are made of English brick, and there is a veranda at the front. A Western-style wooden hut is placed on the brick wall and covered with shingles. The entrance facing the veranda has double-hung glass doors with shutters, and the windows are sash windows with shutters, showing the distinctive characteristics of colonial architecture.
D. 品川燈台 Shinagawa Lighthouse
- 現存最古の洋式灯台 The oldest existing Western-style lighthouse
- 初期の洋式灯台是在外国の技術援助下建造的,品川燈塔由法國技師韋爾尼設計,由法國工程師弗洛朗建造,透鏡和金屬零件均從法國進口 Early Western-style lighthouses were built with technical assistance from abroad, and Shinagawa Lighthouse was designed by French engineer Verny and built by French engineer Florent, with lenses and metal parts imported from France.
E. 西園寺公望別邸「坐漁荘」Zagyo-so-Villa of Prince Kimmochi Saionji
- 元老度過餘生的総数寄屋造宅邸 The sukiya-style mansion where the genro spent the rest of his life
- 低矮的圍牆後是玄関、廚房以及 2 層主屋的屋頂,層層疊疊,錯落有致。 1929 年,在榻榻米房間旁增建了一間西式房間,再往後增設了更衣室和配備西式馬桶的便所 Behind a low wall are the entrance, kitchen, and the roof of the two-story main house, layered one on top of the other. In 1929, a Western-style room was added next to the tatami room, and further back, a dressing room and a toilet with a Western-style toilet were added.
F. 札幌電話交換局 Sapporo Telephone Exchange
- 一座端正厚重的石造建築,令人想起西欧 A neat and stately stone building reminiscent of Western Europe
- 這座建築採用當地石材建造,以保護高価的交換設備免受火災侵襲。建築內部的地板、隔間牆和桁架均採用木材。1F & 2F 的窗戶風格各異,2F 窗戶下方還安裝了一個帶有連續花卉圖案的風箱,這種工藝自文藝復興時期以來在西歐十分常見 The building was constructed using locally sourced stone to protect the expensive exchange equipment from fire. The interior floors, partition walls and trusses are made of wood. The first and second floor windows are made in different styles, and a bellows with a continuous floral pattern is placed under the second floor window, a technique commonly seen in Western Europe since the Renaissance.
G. 東松家住宅 Toumatsu Home
- 一棟經過多次翻新和擴建的 3 層町家 A three-story townhouse that has undergone repeated renovations and extensions
- 其建築是以日本伝統工法建造而成,這是一個典型的町家建築,正面狹窄,縱深長,但建築前部到 3 樓部分並不是明治前的建築風格,可以說這是商店建築樣式的先驅 The Toumatsu House was constructed using the traditional method, which requires burning the walls of a building, to prevent the possibility of future fires. The building is constructed in such a way that the front is narrow and the rear is wide and deep. Front walls that extended straight up to the third floor did not exist in Japan before the Meiji Period and it can be said that in business and architecture, this building led the way.
H. 東山梨郡役所 Higashi-Yamanashi District Office
- 典型的擬洋風庁舎建築 A typical Western-style government building
- 山梨県興建了許多當時被認為是精緻的所謂「偽西式」建築,這座官邸可謂是其中的典範之作 Many so-called pseudo-Western-style buildings, which were considered sophisticated at the time, were built in Yamanashi Prefecture. This building can be said to be a prime example of this.
I. 三重県庁舎 Mie Prefectural Office
- 現存最古の県庁舎 The oldest existing prefectural office building
- 三重県庁舎是一座寬 54 m 的大型建物,以玄関為中心呈左右対称結構,正面環繞著兩層樓高的走廊。其對稱的結構,以入口和馬車廊位於中心,正面環繞著走廊,仿照了 1876 年 建造的内務省庁舎,是明治初期木結構政府建築的典型代表 The Mie Prefectural Office Building is a large building with a width of 54 meters, and is symmetrical around the entrance with a two-story veranda surrounding the front.The symmetrical structure, with the entrance and carriage porch in the center and a veranda at the front, is modeled after the Ministry of Home Affairs building built in 1876 (Meiji 9), and is a typical example of wooden government buildings from the early Meiji period.
J. 西郷從道邸 Home of Marquis Tsugumichi Saigo
- 明治初期の貴重洋館建築 A valuable Western-style building from the early Meiji period
- 法國建築師萊斯卡斯參與了設計,建築內的裝飾和樓梯均從法國進口
- 建物耐震性高,屋頂覆蓋著輕質銅板,並以斜角鋪設覆面板;外牆則採用真正的木瓦,面板之間以插板連接 It is said that the French architect Lescas was involved in the design, with fittings and staircases imported from France. The building has been designed to be highly earthquake-resistant. The roof is covered with light copper plates, with sheathing boards laid at an angle, and the exterior walls are clad in real clapboard with panels slid between the pillars.
K. 聖ヨハネ教会堂 St John’s Church

- 外觀以歐洲中世紀羅馬式風格為基礎,並融合了哥德式元素,高聳的尖塔矗立在建築立面的兩側,後方則是一座擁有大十字形屋頂的教堂。教堂 2F 的內部佈局呈十字形,閣樓也裸露在外。獨特的纖細屋頂框架,由拱形桁架和外觀以歐洲中世紀羅馬式風格為基礎,並融合了哥德式元素。高聳的尖頂矗立在建築立面的兩側,後方則是一座擁有巨大十字形屋頂的教堂。教堂二樓的內部佈局呈十字形,閣樓也裸露在外。獨特的纖細屋頂框架,由拱形桁架和鋼條構成,使整座建築看起來比實際更大構成,使整座建築看起來比實際更大 Its exterior is based on the Romanesque style of medieval Europe, with Gothic details. The streetcar connects Meiji Mura’s Ward 2’s Streetcar Kyoto Shichijo Station, Ward 3’s Shinagawa Lighthouse Station, and Ward 4’s Streetcar Nagoya Station. There are 2–3 cars every hour. One ride costs ¥ 500 for adults and ¥ 300 for kids.

- 連接正門與帝國飯店。平日每 20 分鐘發車,週末及國定假日為 15 分鐘。在村內各個代表性建築物附近均設有站點,非常適合希望能夠舒適遊覽的旅客。車票為 1 日券,初中生及以上票價 ¥ 500,小學生票 ¥ 300 The village bus runs the length of the front gate to the Imperial Hotel. The bus leaves every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes on weekends and holidays. For guests looking for easy transportation around the park, it’s a great option. You can purchase an all-day pass that runs ¥ 500 for adults and ¥ 300 for kids.
