- 北海道富良野市位於幅員遼闊的北海道之中心，因此也可稱為北海道的「肚臍」。本祭典是以「透過肚臍而加強聯繫」為原點，自 1969 年開始舉辦 Located at the very center of great large Hokkaido, Furano City can be referred to as the “belly button” of Hokkaido. This festival began in 1969, in order to “strengthen bonds through the belly button”.
- 此外，本祭典也是市內「肚臍神社」(正式名稱為北真神社) 的例大祭。作為肚臍祭的精神支柱，可於本神社祈求人生中的愛情、誕生、成長、健康、幸福、繁榮、安樂。祭典上最值得一看之處，當屬 2 天共 4,000 名舞者參加的「北海肚臍舞大會」，舞者們紛紛在肚子畫上臉蛋 (稱為「圖腹」)，大家一起露出肚子開心遊行！以此舞蹈為中心，從市內餐廳使用當地食材、僅在祭典期間提供的「肚臍美食」，到以肚臍為主題的各式體驗單元等，兩天內將舉辦各式各樣的活動 The festival also is the annual festival of the city’s “Heso (belly button) shrine” (properly known as Hokushin Shrine). This shrine – the proud backbone of the belly button festival – prays for life’s love, birth, growth, health, happiness, thriving and peace. The festival’s biggest highlight is the “Hokkai belly button dance competition” attended by a total of 4,000 dancers in two days. Participants draw large faces on their bellies (known as “Zubara”) and march around happily! With this dance competition as a center piece, many other events are held such as the “belly button gourmet” where local restaurants using local ingredients prepare original dishes that are somehow related to the belly button, and other fun activities in two days.

- 2 天傍晚 7 – 8 點將舉行「北海肚臍舞大會」，並開放一般遊客臨時參加，共同組成 1 支「臨時參加隊伍」，讓遊客們一起跳舞。即使只有自己 1 人也能參加，何不一起來試試看！(兩天各開放 100 位名額，參加費 ¥ 2,000 ※提供相關道具) Held from 7 to 8 pm on both dates of the festival, is the “Hokkai belly button dance competition”. You may join on the day of the festival, to dance as the group “jump-in team”. Please join the fun as you are allowed to participate even if you are by yourself. (there is a 100 person limit to each festival date, and participation fee is ¥ 2,000 per person *including gear)

- 祭典上將能飽嚐以「肚臍」為主題、使用了當地食材的各式佳餚。咖哩、炒麵等日本人所熟悉的祭典美食，都將與「肚臍」一同創意激盪、跨界合作！請盡情享受北海道的特產 Many food stalls are set up, providing local food that is somehow related to the belly button. It is the dream collaboration of the belly button and your ordinary day-to-day Japanese food, such as curry and yakisoba (fried noodles). Enjoy the blessings of Hokkaido.
