宿場的中心是御役町，問屋場、本陣、脇本陣都位於此，周圍其他旅籠 (旅館)、商家和茶屋，形成一個細長的宿場町 The center of the post town was the official town, where the wholesale office, the honjin (main inn), and the wkai-honjin (subsidiary inn) were located, surrounded by other hatagoes (inns), shops, and tea rooms, forming a long, narrow post town.
土山宿有 2 座本陣，位於吉川町の北土山村側的土山家本陣，以及中町の南土山村側的堤家本陣 In Tsuchiyama-juku, there were two honjin: the Tsuchiyama family honjin, located on the north side of Tsuchiyama village in Yoshikawa town, and the Tsutsumi family honjin, located on the south side of Tsuchiyama village in Nakamachi.

江戸時代の大名宿泊的旅籠 (客棧) 屋跡，現在為一般住宅，至今仍保留著当時使用的物品，例如明治天皇宿泊時の玉座、大名居住的樓上房間以及宿帳等珍貴文物 The site of a main inn (honjin) where feudal lords and other important figures stayed during the Edo period. Although it is now a private house, the throne used when Emperor Meiji stayed there, the upper room where feudal lords stayed, and guest registers are remaining.

本陣跡 Honjin Ruins (二階屋 Two-story Building) 堤家 Tsutsumi Family

堤家本陣又因其屋号被稱為「二階屋本陣」，屋主代々忠左衛門，史料上最初見於江戸時代前期 1680年 The Tsutsumi family honjin was also known as “Nikai-ya Honjin” (Two-Story Honjin) due to its house name, and its owners traditionally bore the name Chuzaemon. Its first appearance in historical records dates back to the early Edo period in 1680.

扇屋伝承文化館 Ougiya Traditional Culture Museum

位於江戶時代繁榮的宿場町「土山宿」，由商家「扇屋」改修而成，販売扇子和梳子 It is a renovated building from the Ougiya merchant house, which sold fans and combs in Tsuchiyama-juku, a post town that flourished during the Edo period.
