• 日本最大級の土造の城，除了大規模的土方工程，城西側の台地有五重の護城河(堀)、東の低地有三重の堀，形成了堅固的防禦線 Mito Castle is one of the largest earthen castles in Japan. Along with large-scale earthworks, the castle had a five-layered moat on the plateau to the west, and a three-layered moat on the lowland to the east, creating a solid line of defense.
