- 竜串擁有砂岩和泥岩交替層，約於 2,000 万年前形成竜串層 (三崎層群)，這種比較容易風化的砂岩層，受到風浪的侵蝕，表面有波紋痕跡，層內有旋回、交錯層理，具有「蜂巢結構」的特有岩石表面，還有大大小小的竹子、竹簾、亂馬石、兜帽等結構，區內散佈著「奇岩怪石」Tatsukushi is home to alternating layers of sandstone and mudstone called the Tatsukushi Formation (Misaki Formation), which was developed approximately 20 million years ago. This sandstone layer, which is relatively easy to weather, has a characteristic rock surface called a “honeycomb structure” due to the erosion of violent winds and waves, as well as structures such as large and small bamboos, shibori curtains, ranma stones, Kabuto stones, and carp waterfall climbing. The area is dotted with “unusual rock formations”.
