作為脇城の城下町而建立，脇町卯建街道以藍染的集散地興盛，裝設富裕象徵「卯建」的民宅並排長達 430 m，從江戸中期至昭和初期 85 棟保存完好的白壁青瓦伝統建造物。This townscape was established as a castle town of Wakishiro and developed as a distribution center for indigo. There are 430 m long private residences with a symbol of wealth, Uken. From the mid-Edo to the early Showa period, 85 traditional buildings with white walls and blue tiles have been preserved.
