- 「重要伝統的建造物群保存地区」Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings
- 佐佐並市是一處農村村落，位於萩市南部的舊旭村的南邊，是將曾經的萩城下町和三田尻(防府市)連為一體的萩往還道路的中間點，在參勤交代的時候，常有藩主來到這裡的御茶屋休息，除御茶屋外，其他宿場設施也一應俱全，這使得這處村落逐漸繁榮起來。Sasanami is a farm village located on the southern edge of former Asahi village and used to develop as a resting place and post town in between Mitajiri (Hofu) and Hagi caste town.
- 佐佐並市的街道是在江戶初期以農業為基礎建造的，隨著萩往還道路建成，這裡的宿場功能也逐漸完善，及至近年來，土地劃分並沒有太大的變化，大多數的象徵性建築建造和環境物品得以保留至今。Sasanami townscape did not get changed since it got developed as a post town based on agriculture in Edo period along with Hagi-Okan road getting organized. A number of architectures, crafts, and environments that represents the character of this town are preserved until today in here.
