囯重要無形民俗文化財 National Important Intangible Cultural Heritage

  • 岐阜市把向聯合國教科文組織申請長良川鸕鶿捕魚的無形文化遺產登記作為目標 Gifu City is aiming to have cormorant fishing on the Nagara River included among UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. 長良川的鸕鶿捕魚作為岐阜夏天的一個景觀傳承至今，已經有 1,300 多年的歷史 Cormorant fishing on the Nagara River has a long tradition as a typical scene of summer in Gifu City and it has a history of 1300 years or more. 鸕鶿匠自如自在地操縱鸕鶿捕捉香魚的景觀，一定能夠讓您在燃燒篝火下感受到古典畫卷中的情景 The way the Usho (Cormorant Fishing Master) handles cormorants at his/her will and the burning watch fires will give you the impression of witnessing an antique scroll painting.

船上的精練動作 Accomplished Movements on the Boat

  • 所謂手繩，是指連結鸕鶿和鸕鶿匠的繩子，鸕鶿匠用左手可握住最大 12 根繩子。因為當鸕鶿動作時繩子會糾結、纏繞在一起，鸕鶿匠用右手拔出纏繞的手繩，放回到左手 Tenawa (hand-held ropes) refers to the ropes connecting the cormorants and the Usho. The Usho holds at most 12 ropes in his left hand. When the cormorants move, the hand-held ropes can become tangled. Therefore, the Usho pulls out the tangled rope with his right hand and puts it back into his left hand.

掌舵鸕鶿船 Operating a Cormorant Boat

  • 鸕鶿船艄公，一邊注意配合鸕鶿和鸕鶿匠的動作、以便容易捕到魚，一邊掌舵鸕鶿船 The waterman of a cormorant boat operates it in coordination with the cormorants and the Usho so that they can fish easily.

御料鸕鶿捕魚日 Imperial Cormorant Fishing Day

  • 是進行向皇室繳納香魚的鸕鶿捕魚，被進行 8 次 It means cormorant fishing to catch Ayu (sweetfish) to be delivered to the imperial family and it is performed eight times. 這天，鸕鶿捕魚的開始時間和結束時間會延遲 On that day, the starting and ending time of cormorant fishing will be later than the usual schedule.

鸕鶿捕魚觀看程序 Flow of Cormorant Fishing Observation

  1. 鸕鶿捕魚說明 Speech of Cormorant Fishing
  • 從 17:45 開始由鸕鶿匠開始說明鸕鶿捕魚法 Speech of cormorant fishing is given at 17:45.
  1. 發船 Departure
  • 發船合乘 Shared-ride Boat: 18:45 & 19:15 開船 Departing at 18:45 & 19:15
  • 包租船 18:45 – 19:15 之間，可以由您指定開船時間 Departing at the desired time between 18:45 and 19:15
  1. 開始鸕鶿捕魚 Start of Cormorant Fishing
  • 19:45 左右 Around – 根據河流狀況，可以看到“順流捕魚”或者“停靠觀看”鸕鶿捕魚 Depending on the river conditions, you will observe cormorant fishing in “Karikudari” or “Tsukemise” style.
  • a.順流捕魚 Karikudari
  • 觀覽船和鸕鶿船並排順流而下 The observation boat goes down the river along with the Ubune (cormorant boat).
  • b.停靠觀看 Tsukemise
  • 從停泊的觀覽船上看鸕鶿船 You will observe the Ubune (cormorant boat) while the observation boat is anchored.
  • 齊捕 So-garami
  • 鸕鶿船一齊並排將香魚趕到淺灘處，進行鸕鶿捕魚活動 This is a highlight of cormorant fishing where all the Ubune (cormorant boats) chase Ayu into shallow water together.
  1. 下船 Disembarking
  • 20:30 左右下船 Around 20:30 you will disembark from the observation boat.

  • 6 / 13 – 10 / 15 (2020) 每天舉辦 Performed every day.
  • 的鸕鶿捕魚休息 (1 天) 和漲水時等的中止日除外 Excluding non-performance days, including a holiday for cormorant fishing (Oct. 1), when river water rises.

  • 暑假期間的星期六，進行 2 次鸕鶿捕魚 On Saturdays, mainly during summer vacation, cormorant fishing is performed twice a day.

  • 合乘船的開船時間 Departure of Shared-Ride Boat: 18:15, 18:45 & 19:15
  • 第 2 次 Second Round
