  • 位於奈良盆地南部的今井町，在中世紀後期作為寺院町而建立，到江戶時代中期發展成為南大和地區的商業中心。Imaicho, located in the southern part of the Nara Basin, was established as Jinai-cho in the late Middle Ages and developed as a commercial center in the Minami-Yamato region by the middle of the Edo period. 東西長約 600 m，南北長約 310 m，約 760 棟建築物中，有 500 多幢老式房屋和店鋪。此外，還有 9 件国の重要文化財、3 件県指定文化財、5 件市指定文化財，町內還有許多文化財產。About 600 m from east to west and 310 m from north to south, there are about 500 traditional buildings and shops out of about 760 buildings. In addition, there are 9 national important cultural properties, 3 prefecturally designated cultural properties, and 5 city designated cultural properties, and there are many cultural properties in the town.

a. 今西家住宅 Imanishi Family Residence

  • 建造年代為 1650 年，是今井最古老的民宅 The structure was built in 1650. As such, this is the oldest private house in Imai.
  • 宅邸外牆全部覆蓋著白色灰泥，主屋頂兩側下方設有平行排列的小屋頂。屋頂採用本瓦屋脊式 (傳統瓦頂風格)，呈現出城郭風外観般的宏偉氣勢 The outer walls of the residence were completely covered in white plaster. Below both sides of the main roof are small parallel roofs. The roofing is of the hongawara-buki style(Traditional tile-roofed style), and presents a magnificent castle-like appearance.
  • 除二樓座敷外，今西家住宅的結構風格與今井町現存的其他古民宅相似，但只有今西家住宅保留了原有的形態，其他房屋則根據需要進行了改建 In terms of the above characteristics, except for the second floor zashiki, the structural style of Imanishi family residence has a commonality with that for the other existing old private residences in Imai town but only the former has maintained its original shape while the other houses have been altered as needed.

b. 豊田家住宅 Toyoda Family Residence

  • 江戶時代末期遷居至此 They moved to this area towards the end of the Edo period.
  • 屋頂採用人字形瓦頂，屋簷高聳，二樓屋簷伸出橫梁，氣勢恢宏。屋內東側為泥土地面，設有下舖，起居室佈置整齊，共有六間房。建築年代久遠，許多地方仍保留傳統建築技藝，例如儲藏室的結構 The roof is tiled in a gabled style with high eaves and a second floor eaves with a projecting beam, creating a magnificent appearance. Inside, the east side has a dirt floor and a shimomise, and the living area has a neat six-room layout. The house is old, and traditional techniques remain in various places, such as the storage room structure.

d. 上田家住宅 Ueda Family Residence

  • 據說於 1570 年遷居今井，江戶時代初期以屋号「壷屋」經營酒造業 The family have moved to Imai in 1570 and ran a sake brewery under the trade name “Tsuboya” in the early Edo period.
  • 該宅邸被認為是今井町上層町家發展的典範之作 It is considered a good example of the development of upper-class townhouses in Imai-cho.

e. 音村家住宅 Otomura Family Residence

  • 主屋只有一個入口，僅正面設有兩層閣樓。根據建築形式・手法等因素，推測其建造年代為 17 世紀後半頃 The main house has a single-entrance door, with only the front part having a two-story penthouse. Based on the style, construction techniques, and other factors, it is estimated to date to the late 17th century.
  • 這棟建築不僅年代久遠，也展現了江戶時代中期的一些新技法，例如錯層式佈局和百葉門，使其成為今井町町家初期発展状況極具價值的建築 Not only is it old, but it also shows new techniques from the mid-Edo period, such as an offset floor plan and shuttered doors, making it a valuable building that shows the early development of Imaicho townhouses.

f. 旧米谷家住宅 Former Maitani Family Residence

  • 一棟面向中町筋北側的低矮町家 (連棟別墅) A low-slung townhouse facing the north side of Nakamachi-suji
  • 江戶時代在主屋西北側增建了座席 (起居空間)， 1849 年又增建了內倉 (倉庫) 和藏前屋敷 (日式傳統房間) During the Edo period, the family erected a “zasiki” (a living space) to the northwest of the main house, and in 1849 (Kaei 2), an uchigura (storehouse) and kuramae-yashiki (a traditional Japanese room) were also added.

g. 河合家住宅 Kawai Family Residence

  • 主屋據信建於十八世紀後半頃，與主屋東北隅接続的穀倉、曾用作釀酒師的宿泊所、休息室、・休憩所・風呂・便所，據信於19世紀初期頃改築 The main house is thought to have been built in the late 18th century, and the barn connected to the northeast corner of the main house was used as accommodation for the brewer, a rest area, a bath, and a toilet, and is thought to have been rebuilt in the early 19th century.
  • 這是今井町比較早期的兩層建築，其特色是：一層為低矮的樑式天花板，二樓為榻榻米房間，天花板為肋狀結構，並飾以榻榻米房間的裝飾 It is a relatively early two-story building in Imaicho, and is characterized by the low joist ceiling on the first floor, the arrangement of the second floor as a tatami room, the ribbed ceiling and the addition of tatami room decorations.

i. 称念寺本堂 Shonenji Main Hall

  • 今井町從中世紀末期到近代早期發展成為擁有自治組織的「寺内町」Imaicho was established as a “temple town” with an autonomous organization from the end of the Middle Ages to the early modern period.
  • 主殿的平面形態是大型真宗本堂の標準樣式，雖然建立年代不詳，但從中處可見早期真宗本堂的建造技法，而且走廊周圍的設計以及海老虹梁の形状在近世建築中顯得較為古樸，因此推測其建於江戶時代前期 The main hall has the standard floor plan for a large Shinshu main hall. The date of construction is unclear, but early techniques for a Shinshu main hall can be seen everywhere, and the designs around the veranda and the shape of the shrimp-shaped beams are old-fashioned for something from the modern era, so it is thought to have been built in the early Edo period.
